About The Artist

I am an architect and interior designer from Amman, Jordan. I’ve always had a love for everything art and design, and when Covid hit back in 2020 I found myself trying to escape the anxiety we were living through art. I started posting digital artworks on my Instagram page and as I went, I developed a certain style which truly represents me.

My art combines a dreamy aesthetic with vintage and “out of this world” elements, and of course sayings or quotes from our Arabic language. Since 2020, what started out as a way to get my mind off things is now a space for creativity and a business which I built to inspire and empower with every artwork and product.

Question

How did you get started with creating art?

I’ve always loved creating art through different mediums since a young age; however, after studying architecture at university, I discovered my love for digital design. I started experimenting on photoshop and illustrator when creating my designs and that’s where my digital art journey started.

During the start of the pandemic in 2020, I was bored at home and decided to start my page here on instagram solely to take my mind off things. Things really changed for me after that.. This passionate hobby grew and became a platform where I can express my thoughts and ideas through art, and connect with people from around the world.

Question

How would you describe your artistic style? Has it changed?

My artworks combine a dreamy, out of this world feel with a nostalgic arabic touch. I love using elements from outer space along with vintage photos, arabic phrases or sayings, which are prominent in most of my designs. I not only love incorporating my language in these artworks, but I find it important to include part of my identity and heritage into unique or non conventional works.

Question

Where do you usually find inspiration for your works?

I find inspiration from all things around me. Could be from a picture, song, everyday phrase, and ofcourse, things I might be going through. My work is a reflection of my everyday thoughts and emotions. They can range from funny and relatable to empowering and uplifting. Either way, my art is mostly interpreted in a light and whimsical manner.

Question

What do you hope your audience will get from your work?

I really hope my artworks draw a smile on people’s faces. I’d like to take the viewer into a different world – even if momentarily – when they see my artworks. Whether it is a humorous or meaningful artwork, I aim to relate to and inspire with the message my work is conveying.
